The 20th anniversary "Best in Profession" competition was held in Ufa for representatives of key blue-collar and engineering professions from Rosneft subsidiaries. More than 550 participants from 82 of the Company's enterprises competed in the finals for the title of best.

The "Best in Profession" competition is an important part of the Company's employee motivation, corporate training, and professional development program. The competition enhances the prestige of blue-collar jobs, production culture, and industrial safety.

The practical portion of the competition took place at Bashneft's production facilities in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Following the professional competition, winners were determined in each of Rosneft's key areas of activity:

"Oil and Gas Production" (13 nominations); "Oil Refining and Petrochemistry" (9 nominations); "Oil Product Supply" (7 nominations).

In the theoretical part of the competition, participants had to answer 45 questions on their profession and 15 on industrial safety, occupational health, and the environment. In the practical part, competitors demonstrated their professional skills by completing timed tasks. For example, chemical analysis lab technicians tested a standard sample of organochlorine compounds in a naphtha simulator. Oil and gas production operators started electric centrifugal pump units. Instrumentation and automation operators checked, configured, and commissioned a pressure transducer. Process unit operators took over shifts, assembled the process flow diagram, prepared and started pumps. Vehicle drivers loaded petroleum products into vehicles, delivered them, and drained them at gas stations.

An objective assessment of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the contestants was provided by 150 jury members from the management of Rosneft's relevant divisions and subsidiaries.

The Company's priority is caring for its employees, preserving their lives and health, and creating comfortable working conditions. That's why the competition program annually includes sections on industrial safety and occupational health.

Congratulations to the winners of the "Best in Profession" competition on their well-deserved awards!
