Riga, October 29 (Xinhua) — Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs met here on Tuesday with King Frederick X and Queen Mary of Denmark, who are on a state visit. The two discussed bilateral relations, defense cooperation, security in the Baltic Sea region, and the situation in Ukraine.

E. Rinkēvičs stated that relations between Latvia and Denmark are based on a shared commitment to regional security and prosperity.

He praised the close cooperation between the two countries in the defense industry and noted the significant potential for cooperation in quantum engineering, renewable energy and artificial intelligence.
