Pyongyang, October 29 (Xinhua) — North Korea's General Rocket Department test-fired strategic sea-to-land cruise missiles in western waters off the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Wednesday.

The cruise missiles, modified for ship launch, were fired vertically and flew for more than 7,800 seconds along a predetermined route over western waters to destroy the target, KCNA said in a statement.
