Beijing, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) — A joint fashion show featuring Chinese and Russian youth in 2025 was held in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Monday, under the theme "Fashionable Holidays – Dialogue of Cultures," according to a report published by local media.

Teenagers from China and Russia, along with Chinese models of a certain age, gave the event a special significance. They confidently participated in a captivating fashion show that transcended boundaries and age limits, offering viewers an unforgettable kaleidoscope of cultural revelations.

"This was my first time attending a joint fashion show. It was amazing," said a Harbin local named Zhang.

In the lead-up to the event, models from both countries completed professional training courses, participated in castings, and participated in mixed-gender modeling. Despite the language barrier, the teenagers quickly found common ground, using fashion as a bridge for cultural dialogue.

In addition to participating in the event, Russian teenagers also visited cultural attractions in Harbin, which helped them deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.

"This was an unusual 'fashionable holiday,' and we strengthened our friendship with our Chinese friends. I look forward to coming to China again to participate in similar events," said a member of the Russian delegation.

The event was jointly organized by Partners magazine, the Steps Towards fashion theater from Vladivostok, the Anna Karpus Far Eastern Fashion Theater from Khabarovsk, the fashion theater of Secondary School No. 11 from Vladivostok, and the Harbin Tianjiao Professional Modeling Institute.
