Juan Carlos Capunay, former Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat and former Peruvian Ambassador to China, praised China's initiatives to promote joint development in the Asia-Pacific region: "The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) promotes regional connectivity, the China International Import Expo (CIIE) strengthens trade ties, and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) supports regional infrastructure development." "By sharing development opportunities with the region, China allows the fruits of development to benefit more people." He expressed confidence that during his visit, President Xi Jinping will present important proposals to promote the common development of the Asia-Pacific region.

"I am confident that President Xi Jinping's visit will inject greater innovative energy into the development of the Asia-Pacific region."

Shigeaki Koga, a former official at Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, noted that China plays a vital role in the sustainable prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region's economy through effective systemic planning.
