Tashkent, October 28 (Xinhua) — Over the first nine months of the year, 8.6 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan, the country's National Statistics Committee reported on Monday.
"According to the National Statistics Committee, approximately 8.6 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes in January-September 2025," the report states.
“This figure increased by almost 2.8 million people, or 49.3 percent, compared to the same period last year,” the report said.
The distribution by country is as follows: 2.4 million people from Kyrgyzstan, 2 million from Kazakhstan, 1.9 million from Tajikistan. China ranked seventh with 176,900 people. –0–
