BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) — The 18th session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) concluded in Beijing on Tuesday.
At the final session, lawmakers voted to pass the revised Maritime Commerce Act and the revised Urban Residents' Committee Organization Act, as well as resolutions revising the Cybersecurity Act, the Environmental Protection Tax Act, and the Village Residents' Committee Organization Act.
Chinese President Xi Jinping signed decrees implementing the specified laws and decisions.
The session also decided to appoint Zhang Shengmin as Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China and relieve He Weidong of this post. -0-
