Hanoi, October 28 (Xinhua) — Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, welcomed more than 28.2 million tourists in the first ten months of 2025, exceeding the total number of arrivals for the entire previous year (27.8 million), local media outlet VNExpress reported on Monday, citing the city's Department of Tourism.

During the period, international arrivals totaled nearly 6.2 million people, and total tourism revenue was approximately 110 trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately 4.22 billion US dollars), which is 22 percent and 20 percent more, respectively, than in January-October last year.

Hanoi has set a target of receiving around 31 million tourists by 2025, including 7.5 million from abroad.

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported that the country plans to attract 25 million foreign tourists this year, while increasing the number of domestic trips to 130 million. –0–
