Moscow, October 28 (Xinhua) — Cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov and Alexei Zubritsky of the International Space Station (ISS) Russian segment conducted a spacewalk to carry out scheduled work on the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module. This was reported on Tuesday by TASS, citing the press service of the Roscosmos state corporation.

The extravehicular activity (EVA) is expected to last approximately six and a half hours. The crew's primary objective is to install the IPI-500 pulse plasma injector (PPI), designed to study the impact of satellites on the Earth's ionosphere from the ISS.

In addition, the cosmonauts will have to clean one of the windows of the Nauka module, replace the scientific equipment cassette of the Ekran-M experiment, and move the external control panel of the ERA manipulator. –0–
