SHIJIAZHUANG, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) — North China's Hebei Province's import and export volume with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative reached 299.36 billion yuan (42.25 billion U.S. dollars) in the first three quarters of 2025, up 13 percent year-on-year, accounting for 62.5 percent of Hebei Province's total foreign trade, the Zhongguo Xinwenshe News Agency reported.

According to local customs data, Hebei Province's foreign trade turnover reached a record high of 478.67 billion yuan in January-September this year, up 4 percent year-on-year.

During the above-mentioned period, Hebei Province maintained stable trade relations with 230 countries and regions, especially emerging markets.

Hebei Province's foreign trade turnover with Central Asian countries during this period amounted to 6.8 billion yuan, an increase of 103.3 percent year-on-year. Specifically, Hebei Province's foreign trade with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan increased by 1.2 times and 1.5 times year-on-year, respectively.

Xu Jie, Deputy Director of Shijiazhuang Customs, noted that Hebei Province's foreign trade achieved progress while maintaining stability from January to September and continues to improve despite the challenging external environment, demonstrating high resilience and vitality.

According to him, in the first three quarters of this year, the structure of Hebei Province's exports continued to improve, with exports of competitive and specialized manufacturing products accounting for over 90 percent of total exports. In particular, exports of auto parts, electrical equipment, and basic mechanical components increased by 14.5 percent, 27.9 percent, and 12.9 percent year-on-year, respectively. -0-
