BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) — The People's Bank of China (PBOC, the central bank) will resume open-market purchases and sales of government bonds, PBOC Governor Pan Gongsheng said at the annual Financial Street Forum-2025 conference on Monday.

This decision was made after the suspension of government bond sales at the beginning of this year due to an imbalance in supply and demand in the bond market and the accumulation of market risks, Pan Gongsheng noted.

Given that the bond market is currently functioning normally, the Central Bank will resume open market purchase and sale of government bonds, Pan Gongsheng added. -0-
