BEIJING, October 27 (Xinhua) — A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck 170 kilometers east of Beausejour in the Guadeloupe region at 12:38 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
According to preliminary data, the epicenter of the tremors was located at 16.54 degrees north latitude and 59.49 degrees east longitude. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 10 km.
