KUALA LUMPUR, October 26 (Xinhua) — The Chinese and US trade and economic delegations held in-depth and frank discussions on important issues of mutual interest. This was announced by China's representative in international trade negotiations and Vice Minister of Commerce Li Chenggang at a press briefing here on Sunday following the new round of China-US trade and economic talks.

The talks addressed issues of concern to both parties, including export controls, U.S. measures under Section 301 of the Trade Act against China's maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding sectors, an extension of the tariff suspension, and cooperation on fentanyl-related tariffs and enforcement.

The parties held a constructive discussion on ways to appropriately resolve the situation, taking into account the concerns of both sides on these issues, and reached a basic consensus.
