MELBOURNE, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) — One person was killed and another was hospitalized after they were stabbed in the Australian island state of Tasmania on Saturday evening.
Tasmania Police said on Sunday that emergency services were called to reports of a fight between two groups of people in the state capital Hobart around midnight local time on Saturday evening.
During the altercation, two people were stabbed. A 20-year-old man died from his injuries, and a 23-year-old man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
