Moscow, October 24 (Xinhua) — The death toll from the explosion that occurred late in the evening of October 22 at a factory in the city of Kopeysk in the Chelyabinsk Region has risen to 29, regional Governor Alexey Teksler announced on his Telegram channel on Friday.
"Twenty-nine people are receiving medical care. Of these, six are hospitalized, five are in serious condition. The rest are being monitored as outpatients," the statement reads.
According to A. Teksler, 12 people have been confirmed dead. The whereabouts of 11 others are being clarified.
October 24 has been declared a day of mourning in the region. –0–
