BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Rodrigo Paz Pereira on his election as president of Bolivia.
In his message, the Chinese leader noted that China and Bolivia are good friends and partners. Over the 40 years since diplomatic ties were established, Sino-Bolivian relations have maintained good momentum.
The two countries understand and support each other on issues related to their core interests and key concerns, have achieved fruitful results in practical cooperation in various fields, and are strengthening the profound friendship between the peoples of the two countries, Xi Jinping noted.
He stated that China highly values Bolivia's commitment to the one-China principle. The Chinese leader also noted that he attaches great importance to developing China-Bolivia relations and is ready to work with President-elect R. Paz Pereira to elevate the strategic partnership between China and Bolivia to a new level and bring greater benefits to their peoples.
