Astana, October 24 (Xinhua) — Speaking at a ceremony to mark Republic Day, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the country's economy has demonstrated steady growth and progressive development in recent years, the Kazinform news agency reported on Friday.
According to the head of state, Kazakhstan's economy has grown by 16 percent since 2019, and its volume by 2025 is expected to approach 137 trillion tenge (approximately $291 billion). GDP per capita increased by 47 percent, reaching $14,400, one of the highest rates among CIS countries. The country's gold and foreign exchange reserves amounted to $58 billion, and foreign trade turnover increased to $142 billion—an 83 percent increase from seven years ago.
