BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang, secretary of the State Council Party Group, chaired a meeting on Friday to study and implement the spirit of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
The meeting noted that the Proposals of the CPC Central Committee on the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development integrate the overall strategic situation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the changes unseen in a hundred years, precisely define the historical direction of development of the Party and the state during the 15th Five-Year Plan, systematically summarize the significant results of China's development during the 14th Five-Year Plan, deeply analyze the new situation and new requirements facing the 15th Five-Year Plan, and carry out high-level design and strategic planning for development for the next five years.
During the meeting, it was stated that the State Council party group and all subordinate bodies must conscientiously and effectively carry out work on socio-economic development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
The meeting participants emphasized that, based on the Proposals of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council should formulate a program for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and ensure comprehensive progress in developing various specialized, regional and local plans, making every effort to facilitate the implementation of the major strategic tasks envisaged by the Proposals of the CPC Central Committee.
During the meeting, a call was made to ensure the successful completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and a good start to the 15th Five-Year Plan.
