Yerevan, October 24 (Xinhua) — Armenia collected approximately $5.26 billion in taxes and state duties in the first nine months of this year, Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, announced at a press conference on Friday.
In January-September 2025, tax revenues in Armenia increased by 14 percent or $643.1 million compared to the same period last year.
The committee head noted that the increase in tax revenues is due to increased economic activity among the population, as well as increased tax discipline and management efficiency on the part of this department.
Shadow tax revenues of approximately $849.6 million were identified, a 97 percent increase over last year's figure. The total amount of hidden taxes was approximately $282.3 million.
