BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) — The "Proposals of the CPC Central Committee on the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development" contains four provisions on scientific and technological innovation for the period from 2026 to 2030, Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun said at a press conference on Friday.

According to him, these provisions are aimed at accelerating the achievement of a high level of scientific and technological independence and self-improvement, as well as guiding the development of productive forces of a new quality.

The provisions include strengthening original innovation and breakthroughs in key technologies, promoting the deep integration of scientific and industrial innovation, advancing the coordinated development of education, science, technology and human resources, and further advancing the construction of "Digital China."

The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee was held in Beijing from Monday to Thursday. Participants reviewed and adopted the "Proposals of the CPC Central Committee on the 15th Five-Year Program for National Economic and Social Development."
