Founded in 1819, Cailler is considered the oldest surviving Swiss chocolate brand. The Cailler Chocolate Museum, located at the foot of the Alps in the Gruyère region, is one of Switzerland's most popular tourist destinations. The museum, which combines interactive tours, immersive experiences, and artisan workshops, allows visitors to learn about the origins of cocoa, Swiss chocolate production technology, the high-quality dairy resources of the Gruyère region, and local folk traditions. Since opening in 2010, the museum has welcomed over 5.5 million visitors.
