WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he has canceled a planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We canceled the meeting with President Vladimir Putin," Trump told reporters at the White House. "It just didn't feel right."
"I didn't think we'd achieve what we needed to. So I canceled it. But we'll hold it in the future," he added.
Last week, Donald Trump announced he would meet with Vladimir Putin in Budapest, Hungary, for talks following a phone call between the two leaders. However, on Tuesday, he told reporters at the White House that such a meeting would be a "waste of time."
