Dushanbe, October 22 (Xinhua) — A roundtable discussion titled "Platform for Joint and Global Development" was held in Dushanbe to discuss the outcomes of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held in Tianjin, the Khovar news agency reported on Wednesday.

The event, which took place at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, as well as leading experts and scholars in the field of international relations.

It was noted that the Tianjin summit had become a significant international platform for discussing global challenges such as climate change, sustainable development issues, and the economic and social integration of countries in the context of the new global economic reality.

The event addressed cooperation in technology, the environment, trade, and investment. Particular attention was paid to environmental partnerships and the development of a green economy.

The roundtable participants noted that for Tajikistan, as an active Central Asian state and a member of the SCO, participation in such forums opens up broad opportunities for strengthening mutually beneficial ties with partners, including Russia, China, and other countries in the region. –0–
