Moscow, October 22 (Xinhua) — The Moscow State Academic Theater "Russian Song" held an anniversary concert, "Country of Talents," on Tuesday, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the legendary group, led by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nadezhda Babkina.
According to Maxim Lakhno, the principal director of the Russkaya Pesnya Theatre, the Russkaya Pesnya ensemble is a group that unites those dedicated to the development and preservation of the intangible heritage of folk songs. "This is the mission of Russkaya Pesnya—to make folklore sound contemporary. The very principle of folklore is that it lives, develops, and never stops evolving," noted M. Lakhno.
