HANOI, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) — Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Trinh on Monday issued an official order to ministries, departments and local authorities in central Vietnam to take urgent measures in connection with the approaching Typhoon Fengshen.

Fengshen is expected to be the 12th storm to hit Vietnam this year. It is forecast to bring heavy rain to provinces in the central part of the country from Wednesday to Sunday.

The typhoon is also expected to create a high risk of flooding, landslides and flash floods, according to Vietnam's National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting.
