Moscow, October 21 /Xinhua/ — "We see European NATO allies preparing for war with Russia," said Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS member states held in Samarkand.
According to the text of his speech published on the SVR website, Sergei Naryshkin stated that the task has been set to quickly provide the NATO Allied Response Force designated for this purpose with all necessary resources. A process has been launched to significantly increase the output of the European military-industrial complex. Mobilization exercises and propaganda indoctrination about Moscow's inevitable aggression have been made regular.
In his view, the "power vacuum" created by the collapse of the American empire is pushing most regional powers to develop non-politicized, constructive mechanisms of multilateral cooperation that are not hostage to the confrontation between global players. Deepening regional integration is noticeable in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Eurasia. Evidence of this is the progressive strengthening of such formats as the CIS, the EAEU, and the SCO. –0–
