TIANJIN, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) — At the 7th China International Helicopter Exhibition, Russian Helicopters' aircraft models attracted numerous visitors eager to learn more about their designs and functions.
The exhibition, held from October 16 to 19 in Tianjin, northern China, brought together over 400 companies from over 20 countries and regions. It showcased the latest technologies, products, and achievements in general aviation and low-altitude economics.
This year, the aforementioned company unveiled the Ansat, Ka-32A11BC, and Mi-8/17 helicopters. According to the company, some of its helicopter types have already been in operation in China for many years. These aircraft perform socially significant functions, are used for firefighting, and for search and rescue operations in emergency response situations.
"Developing cooperation with China is a priority for us. A wide range of Russian civilian helicopters currently operates in China: for example, 33 Mi-171s, four Mi-26s, and a total fleet of 40 Ka-32A11BCs. Customers traditionally praise their high efficiency. These heavy-duty helicopters have proven themselves to be highly reliable and remain the most sought-after in Asian regions," emphasized Nikolay Kolesov, CEO of the holding company.
The exhibition included a series of meetings during which the Russian side expressed its willingness to make further deliveries of domestically produced helicopters to China.
Russian Helicopters is ready to offer its Chinese partners Ka-32A11BC and modernized Ka-32A11M helicopters for firefighting, Mi-26 helicopters for disaster relief, and light Ansat helicopters for emergency medical services and flight training.
"We believe this is one of our key markets, and we always make every effort to provide Chinese customers with the best and most technologically advanced products," said company representative Kirill Burenkov. "We hope this market will grow rapidly, and we hope to be a part of it in the future."
