Almaty, October 19 (Xinhua) — World No. 14 Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev won the ATP-250 Almaty Open in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Sunday.
The Russian won the title at the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament for the first time in 2 years and 5 months, defeating Frenchman Corentin Moutet in the final (7:5, 4:6, 6:3).
The opponents spent 2 hours and 36 minutes on the court. During the match, D. Medvedev served eight aces, committed five double faults, and converted four of the nine break points he earned.
