Gaza, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) — Israel on Sunday transferred 15 bodies of Palestinians to the Gaza Strip through the International Committee of the Red Cross, bringing the total number of bodies returned to 150, the health authority based in the Palestinian enclave said.
The agency's press release stated that medical teams continue to handle the bodies in accordance with approved medical procedures and protocols, preparing them for examination, documentation, and transfer to families.
The ceasefire agreement, brokered by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States, came into effect on October 10. The first phase of the agreement's implementation includes the exchange of prisoners and hostages, the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and a partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from there.
