BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) — Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Tie Ning reaffirmed China's commitment to working with African countries to strengthen the legal protection of women's rights and interests.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a seminar for African women parliamentarians organized by the National People's Congress in Beijing on Sunday, Tie Ning said China will work with African legislatures to implement the outcomes of the Global Women's Summit and the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
She expressed China's readiness, in cooperation with all parties, to develop contacts between legislative bodies and increase the exchange of public administration experience in order to improve the legal protection of women's rights and interests and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
