Gorania, 63, whose Chinese name is Sun Yunmei, lives in Enhe, a Russian ethnic township in Ergun, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Thanks to her mastery of authentic Chinese cuisine, she is developing a thriving tourism business in Enhe.
Her restaurant and guesthouse, "Lilia," which she runs with her daughter and niece, is filled with the aroma of traditional dishes that blend Russian culinary traditions with local flavor. "Last year, we welcomed over four thousand tourists," she says proudly, leafing through a photo album. "The most distant guests came from Hainan specifically to experience our authentic Russian culture."
Today, thanks to hard work and the development of ethnic family tourism, Sun Yunmei lives a truly happy life.
