Tbilisi, October 17 /Xinhua/ – A presentation of the trade, economic, cultural and tourism potential of China's Guizhou Province was held in the Georgian capital on Thursday.

The event was held with the support of the Guizhou branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Georgian Business House “Belt and Road”.

The event aims to promote the comprehensive development of practical cooperation between Guizhou and Georgia within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as deepen interaction between sister cities, including joint projects in the fields of economics, trade, culture, and tourism.

Welcoming speeches were delivered to the participants by Cheng Mei, Deputy Director of the Department of External Relations of the Guizhou Branch of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Magda Bolotashvili, Director General of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Zurab Agladze, Vice President of the Georgian Employers' Association.

They expressed hope for strengthening bilateral ties and emphasized the high potential for complementarity between the two economies.

During the event, the Guizhou Province delegation presented detailed information on the region's advantages, investment climate, and prospects for cooperation.

The presentation concluded with an exhibition of Chinese products, ranging from tea to alcoholic beverages. It marked another step toward deepening ties between China and Georgia.
