Beijing, October 17 (Xinhua) — China will continue to promote various measures to simplify entry procedures for foreign tourists, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian announced on Friday.
In the third quarter of 2025, foreign citizens made 7.246 million visa-free trips to China, up 48.3 percent year-on-year, the National Immigration Administration (NIA) of China reported on Thursday.
At a regular press briefing, Lin Jian responded to a question about the matter by noting that foreign friends can now get to know the lives of Chinese people better, enjoy the country's magnificent natural beauty, and experience the rhythm of daily life in China, thereby seeing a truly multifaceted and dynamically developing China.
The official added that more and more foreign visitors are getting the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of China thanks to the country's consistent high-level promotion of openness.
