Moscow, October 17 (Xinhua) – Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban over the phone about his conversation with US President Donald Trump, the Kremlin press service reported on Friday.

"Vladimir Putin briefed us on the main content of his conversation with US President Donald Trump," reads a statement published on the Kremlin website following the telephone conversation between the Russian president and the Hungarian prime minister.

As emphasized in the statement, V. Putin noted that during the upcoming contacts with American representatives, “it is expected to discuss the algorithm of further actions in the context of the search for ways to peacefully resolve the Ukrainian crisis, with a view to holding a future Russian-American summit in the Hungarian capital.”

The Kremlin added that the telephone conversation took place at the initiative of the Hungarian side. V. Orbán expressed his willingness to provide conditions for organizing a possible Russian-American summit in Budapest.
