On October 16, 2025, a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation was held, attended by Vladimir Stroyev, Rector of the State University of Management.
The meeting was attended by: Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, his First Deputy Maxim Kolesnikov, Deputies Tatyana Ilyushnikova and Denis Tyupyshev, Chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization "Business Russia" Kirill Nikitin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, and other experts.
The agenda items concerned fine-tuning the federal investment tax deduction mechanism, preparing the bylaws for the Federal Law "On Certain Issues Regulating the Platform Economy in the Russian Federation," and implementing the State Program "Economic Development and Innovative Economy" with planning for 2026–2028.
During the meeting, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov noted that, thanks to the joint efforts of the Government and the Bank of Russia, inflation is gradually slowing. The downside of this process is high borrowing costs and additional pressure on companies' financial health. Therefore, the key task today is to balance supply and demand in the economy.
Maxim Reshetnikov indicated that the work is focused on three areas. The first is ensuring macroeconomic stability, which involves interaction with the Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance on monetary and fiscal policy. The second is supporting industries, primarily mechanical engineering and industrial production. And the third is developing the institutional environment, including property rights and regulation of new economic sectors. All these areas are currently consolidated into two key documents: the National Business Model and the Productivity Improvement Project. Their implementation should be a significant step toward improving the country's economic efficiency, the minister stated.
