Kabul, October 17 (Xinhua) – Afghanistan and Pakistan plan to hold talks in the Qatari capital, Doha. The local television channel TOLOnews reported this on Wednesday evening, citing government sources.

According to them, an Afghan delegation is expected to arrive in Doha soon for talks with the Pakistani side. Discussions will reportedly include topics such as a possible extension of the current ceasefire agreement.

The sources added that the Afghan delegation will be led by Defense Minister Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid. The Pakistani delegation may include several high-ranking security and intelligence officials.

So far, neither government has confirmed the timing or agenda of the negotiations.
