Washington, October 16 (Xinhua) — US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, Hungary, to hold talks on ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The announcement came after a phone call between the two leaders.
“I just finished a very productive phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“We also spent a lot of time discussing trade between Russia and the United States after the end of the war with Ukraine,” he added.
