BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) — Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met Wednesday with Acting President of the Liberian Senate Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, who is in Beijing to attend the Global Women's Summit.

Zhao Leji stated that China-Liberia relations have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state.

Zhao Leji said that China is willing to work with Liberia to implement the important agreements reached by the two countries' leaders and the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit in Beijing, continue to provide mutual support on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen multilateral unity and cooperation, and contribute to building an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.
