BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) — China's consumer price index showed further signs of stabilization in September 2025, as the core CPI excluding food and energy prices reached its highest level in 19 months, indicating gradual strengthening of domestic demand.

The core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, rose 1 percent year-on-year, marking the fifth consecutive month of growth and the largest increase since February 2024, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In September, the consumer price index (CPI), the main measure of inflation, rose by 0.1 percent month-on-month. -0-
