BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) — Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin held separate meetings on Tuesday with Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Yotova, Iranian Vice President Zahra Behrouz Azar and Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Zulaykho Makhkamova, who arrived in Beijing to attend the Global Women's Summit.
At a meeting with I. Yotova, Shen Yiqin, also chair of the All-China Women's Federation, stated that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Bulgaria relations are making continuous progress. She added that China hopes to deepen cooperation with Bulgaria in areas such as culture, education, and the comprehensive development of women.
I. Yotova, for her part, emphasized the importance of the Global Women's Summit, expressing her readiness to continue to promote practical cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including the protection of women's rights and interests.
Speaking with Z. Behrouz Azar, Shen Yiqin noted that China intends to strengthen communication and coordination with Iran and, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, jointly promote further progress in China-Iran relations.
Z. Behrouz Azar, in turn, praised the development of bilateral relations and stated that Iran expects to deepen cooperation with China in various fields for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
During her meeting with Z. Makhkamova, Shen Yiqin indicated that China intends to work with Uzbekistan to comprehensively implement the agreements reached by the heads of state, deepen cooperation in various areas, including women's development, and jointly build a Chinese-Uzbek community with a shared future.
Z. Makhkamova praised China's progress in advancing women's issues and stated that Uzbekistan is prepared to use the practical implementation of the current summit's outcomes as an opportunity to jointly promote women's issues. –0–
