Each networking session will follow a consistent program. First, invited experts will discuss city projects for youth development and self-realization, as well as opportunities for supporting these ideas.
The Center for Youth Parliamentarism will present projects that help develop leadership skills, develop and implement personal initiatives, teach public speaking, and improve skills in radio journalism, public speaking, and acting. The center's projects include the "School of Speakers," the "Bloggers' Club," "Procast," and others. To join, you need to join the Moscow Youth Parliament. You can apply bylink, then you need to pass an individual interview.
The Public Projects Agency will present themed events for youth, volunteer projects, and the "Faces of the District" competition, which aims to support ideas in public life.
Experts from the Development Center will also speak at the sessions. They will explain how to obtain a Moscow Government scholarship and present original initiatives. These include: Student Parliamentary Clubs—active Moscow students who develop leadership skills, participate in lawmaking and politics, build careers, and organize patriotic events; New Media—a practice-oriented project aimed at developing online communication skills and media literacy; the Spetskor community of aspiring journalists with its own online publication, the First Student Agency; a practical public speaking course, the School of Debates; and other projects.
The second part of each session will be devoted to working in groups of 10–15 people, informal communication, and answering questions. At the end of the meeting, participants will be able to fill out a questionnaire to join the board of their chosen institution.
The idea of holding networking sessions was suggested by public councilors of the Central Administrative District of Moscow. While interacting with young Muscovites, they regularly receive questions about participating in city events and opportunities for support for their projects. Thus, the decision was made to hold networking sessions and make them an annual event.
Public councilors are passionate and active Muscovites. For over 10 years, they have been involved in the life of the city: implementing their own projects, conducting creative workshops, sports activities, and group tours, and engaging in charity work. The councilors also serve as a link between residents and the executive authorities.
