BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) — China's new energy vehicle sector maintained strong growth in production and sales in the first nine months of 2025, according to industry data released Tuesday.

Thus, the production of electric vehicles increased by 35.2 percent year-on-year to 11.24 million units in January-September, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Sales for the period increased by 34.9 percent to 11.23 million units, accounting for 46.1 percent of the total number of cars sold in China. -0-
