Moscow, October 12 /Xinhua/ — The frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, the corvette Gremyashchy, and the large sea tanker Boris Butoma of the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet arrived at the Vietnamese port of Da Nang, the fleet's press service reported on Sunday.
"The Russian sailors will have protocol and sporting events with Vietnamese Navy personnel ahead of them, as well as sightseeing and an introduction to local culture," the statement said.
According to the press service, Russian military personnel were met by Vietnamese Navy officials and representatives of the Russian Embassy.
On October 1, a detachment of Pacific Fleet ships departed from Vladivostok, Russia, on a long-distance voyage to carry out missions in the Asia-Pacific region and strategically important areas of the World Ocean. –0–
