UN, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) — UN Secretary-General António Guterres will travel to Egypt on Monday to attend the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, the office of the UN Secretary-General's spokesperson said on Saturday.

"The Secretary-General is traveling to Egypt to attend the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit on Monday. He is expected to return to UN Headquarters on Wednesday," the briefing for correspondents reads.

A summit will be held in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday to finalize an agreement aimed at ending the war in Gaza, Egyptian leaders announced on Saturday.
