XI'AN, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) — The 11th Silk Road International Arts Festival will be held in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, from October 16 to November 9, the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Culture and Tourism announced on Saturday.

This arts festival consists of four parts: the opening and closing ceremonies, performances as part of the performing arts demonstration, the international art exhibition “Silk Road Today”, and international cultural exchanges.

The event will bring together artists from Russia, Hungary, and other countries and regions to showcase their work on an international stage. The festival program will include a total of 46 performances, including 34 plays.

In addition, more than 470 works of art from 79 countries and regions will participate in the international art exhibition “Silk Road Today,” and the “International Cultural Exchanges” section will present an exhibition of works by artists from Central Asian countries and three foreign cultural performances.
