Kyiv, October 12 (Xinhua) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Telegram on Sunday that he had a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump for the second time in two days.
V. Zelenskyy clarified that the main topics of the conversation were strengthening Ukraine's air defense system and the possibility of providing Kyiv with long-range weapons. The situation in Ukraine's energy sector was also discussed.
D. Trump is "well informed about what is happening," V. Zelensky noted, adding that officials and military personnel from Ukraine and the United States will implement the agreements between the leaders of the two countries.
