Yerevan, October 12 /Xinhua/ — Armenia on Sunday celebrated the 2,807th anniversary of the founding of Yerevan.
Concerts, exhibitions, festivals, sporting competitions, and other festive events took place across the city. In the evening, a large concert took place in the central square, culminating in a celebratory fireworks display.
"The city is changing, preserving its spirit but becoming a little better every day. We are building a city where everything new is done for you. At the heart of every reform is the same idea—a dignified life for every Yerevan resident," Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan emphasized in his celebratory message.
