Dushanbe, October 9 (Xinhua) – Following high-level meetings and talks, Tajikistan and Russia signed 16 bilateral documents, the Khovar news agency reported on Thursday.
According to the news agency, a ceremony to sign and exchange 16 new interstate, intergovernmental, and interdepartmental documents took place in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe.
Presidents of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Russia Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries. In addition, a number of documents were signed on cooperation in trade, military, transport, industrial, and healthcare sectors.
During the press conference, E. Rahmon noted that the dialogue between Russia and Tajikistan, in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, once again confirms the high level of relations between the two countries.
The Russian President, for his part, highly praised the results of the meetings and negotiations held at the highest level. –0–
