Dushanbe, October 9 (Xinhua) – The 2nd Central Asia-Russia Summit took place on Thursday in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. This was reported on the website of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The summit was attended by the heads of state of Central Asia and Russia: President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
E. Rahmon emphasized that the meeting's agenda covered current issues of regional cooperation. Priority areas included advancing trade and economic cooperation, facilitating investment growth, expanding humanitarian ties, and strengthening regional security.
The Tajik leader noted that the active participation of heads of state and relevant bodies demonstrates the parties' commitment to developing dialogue and strengthening strategic cooperation between the countries of the region and Russia.
At the summit, the leaders of the participating countries delivered speeches in which they shared their views on current issues.
At the end of the summit, a final communiqué and a Joint Action Plan for 2025–2027 were adopted. –0–
