The meeting, which was held in preparation for a government hour on automation and productivity, was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexei Gordeyev, the chairs of the State Duma committees on industry and trade, Vladimir Gutenev, on economic policy, Maxim Topilin, on control, Oleg Morozov, the head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation faction, Gennady Zyuganov, and the heads of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, and the Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov.
Denis Manturov outlined the key national development goals related to the topic of the government hour. These include growth of the gross domestic product, increased robotic density, the expansion of productivity-enhancing measures to tens of thousands of organizations, the transition of companies to domestic software, the expansion of the space services sector, and the development of skilled personnel training.
"Work in these and a number of other areas should ensure a 25% increase in industrial labor productivity by 2030. In the civilian sector, we have a fairly stable, multi-year growth rate of 3-4% annually. Maintaining this pace will allow us to reach our planned targets. However, this will have to be addressed against the backdrop of a tight labor market. Therefore, we must expeditiously upgrade our fixed assets, equip our factories with modern domestic machine tools and machining centers, and implement industrial robots on a large scale," the First Deputy Prime Minister stated.
Denis Manturov also noted the significant potential for optimizing business processes through application software products and the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
